What is Editorial Stocks?
Editorial Stocks is a marketplace for editorial-use photography, providing images for news, journalism, documentary, and educational purposes only.
Who can use Editorial Stocks?
- Editors, publishers, journalists, and content creators
- Professional photographers and contributors
Users must be 18 years or older.
For Buyers (Purchasers)
What type of license do I receive?
All images are licensed strictly for editorial use only.
No commercial, promotional, or advertising use is permitted.
What does “editorial use only” mean?
You may use images in:
- News articles
- Editorial blogs
- Newspapers and magazines
- Documentary and educational content
You may NOT use images for:
- Advertising or marketing
- Branding or logos
- Product packaging
- Political campaigns
- Merchandise or resale
Do I own the image after purchase?
No. You receive a non-exclusive license.
Copyright remains with the photographer or Editorial Stocks.
Is attribution required?
Yes, when specified.

Are refunds available?
Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final.
Refunds may be considered only in cases of technical errors or duplicate charges.
For Sellers (Contributors)
Who can become a contributor?
Photographers who:
- Own the copyright to their images
- Produce authentic editorial content
- Follow journalistic and ethical standards
Do I keep ownership of my images?
Yes. You retain full copyright ownership.
You grant Editorial Stocks a license to distribute and sell your images.
How do I get paid?
- Sellers earn royalties on each licensed image
- Payments are made after reaching minimum payout thresholds (if applicable)
- Sellers are responsible for applicable taxes
Can my content be removed?
Yes. Editorial Stocks reserves the right to remove content that:
- Violates copyright or legal standards
- Is misleading or unethical
- Receives valid DMCA takedown notices
Licensing & Legal
Is commercial use allowed?
No. All content is editorial-use only unless otherwise stated.
How do I report copyright infringement?
